Sago seeds

Description:

Sago is a starch extracted in the spongy centre, or pith, of various tropical palm stems It is traditionally rolled into balls called sago seeds (sometimes also referred to as sago pearls).

Types:

Sago seeds have no varieties

Packing:

Sago seeds are packed in 15 kg or 20 kg (net) jute bags.

Volume:

A single 20 ft. container of sago seeds carries a volume of about 18 metric tons

Precautions:

It is preferable to avoid keeping sago seeds under heavy weight or pressure to avoid disfigurement.
