Raisins

Description:

A raisin is a dried grape. Raisins are produced in many regions of the world mainly in south and south east Asia.

Types:

Raisins are mainly classified into three types on the basis of colour:

  1. Green Raisins: are normal, dehydrated green grapes.

  2. Golden Raisins: are normal, dehydrated grapes that have been treated with sulphur compounds

  3. Black Raisins: are normal, dehydrated black grapes.

Packing:

Raisins are packed 10 kg cartons

Volume:

A single 20 ft. F.C.L. of raisins carries approximately 17 metric tons of material.

Precautions:

Keep away from moisture and store in cool, dark, dry place.
