Corn starch, cornstarch, cornflour or maize starch, as the name suggests, is the starch derived from the corn (maize) grain. Corn starch is a popular food ingredient used in thickening sauces or soups, and is used in making corn syrup and other sugars.

The raw form of cornstarch, that is maize corn is also a popular item for export form India


Cornstarch is available in 2 varieties.

  1. Food-Grade: is cornstarch that has been treated to be fit for human consumption. This is a little more expensive than the non food grade variety as extra processing is required.

  2. Non Food-Grade: is not fit for human consumption. It is cheaper than food grade standard.


Corn (Maize) starch is packed in 25 kg (net packing) polypropylene bags or paper bags, as per buyer' requirement. Yellow corn is packed in 40 kg polypropylene bags, or as per buyers' requirement.

All markings as per buyer specifications.


A single 20 ft. container of cornstarch carries about 18 metric tons of cornstarch and 24 metric tons of yellow corn.


Store in cool place away from moisture and light.
